About the Mora Group
With 300 employees, Mora is a high-tech industrial group specialized in the production of thermoplastic injected parts for the medical, automotive and defence sectors.
We support our customers in the development and industrialization of complex projects. Our customers also benefit from our expertise in peripheral processes complementing the injection process, such as assembling subassemblies, decoration, packaging and the control of outsourced operations (sterilisation for example).
Our subsidiary company SOFAMI completes these services, mastering the fabrication of molds and the complex machinery that the scope of projects requires.
Founded in France over 50 years ago, the group also operates in Switzerland, Portugal and Romania, and works closely with top-tier customers.

1990 :
A MOULD MAKER’S KNOW-HOW AND AN INDUSTRIAL VISION
Initially formed from the takeover of 3 mould-manufacturing companies in 1990, the MORA group focused its strategy on the development of thermoplastic injection.
The resulting synergy thus confirmed our industrial positioning, which is still in place to date, and enabled us to offer integrated solutions, from development to mass production.
THE 2000s :
EXTENSION OF TECHNICAL CONTROL: INJECTION AND DEVELOPMENT
Constantly in search of comprehensive solutions, the Group developed its injection activity, which soon became the Group’s main business in terms of turnover and the spearhead of its expansion both in France and abroad.
Each company steadily increased its design capacities to meet the most technical and wide-ranging requirements in a variety of demanding sectors, such as the medical, electricity, electronics, automotive and packaging industries.
Trailblazer in its engagement with leading players in the medical sector, and mindful of the specific constraints that very soon came with it, at the turn of the 1990s the group invested in the very first clean rooms and controlled production environments.
INDUSTRIAL GROWTH MOMENTUM
As experts with experience in industrial subcontracting, particularly for the automotive industry and in the application of high-level quality protocols, the complementary nature of our activities then took on a special meaning. Step by step the Group federated the skills sets of its companies, supported and organized an international growth strategy and reinforced their shared industrial vision.
This found expression in the creation of new sites (MORA LDA Portugal in 2005, MORA IPR Romania in 2006) to adapt to and meet the needs of the markets in question. All the Group’s strategic choices contributed to fulfilling its industrial vision.
Its Romanian and Portuguese sites steadily expanded in the 2000s, reinforced by the transfer of the French site’s non-medical production in 2019. Massive investment in the Chambost-Allières plant sealed its vocation to serve customers in this sector through the complete renewal of its production facilities.
